A memorial fountain has been installed at the Mission Point Park in Davis Bay as part of a campaign started by Duane Burnett in 2010 after the death of his beloved dog Tundra. Tundra's Drinking Fountain Campaign raises funds to put drinking fountain's along the Sunshine Coast that will serve both humans and dogs.
Burnett started this campaign not only to honor his long-time companion Tundra, but also to help us get off plastic water bottles. Remember when there where water fountains everywhere?
"There are many communities on the coast and elsewhere who want one of these and can't afford it, so I am continuing to fundraise", said Burnett. There is a fund-raising account set up at the Sunshine Coast Credit Union where donations are accepted at any branch here on the coast.

Burnett has plans to put at least eight of these along the coast and hopes that more businesses and organizations will support the campaign.
