In response to Justin Trudeau's broken promise on electoral reform, Alliance for Democracy is participating in a National Day of Action - Saturday, Feb. 11. Despite a strong consensus for Proportional Representation, the Prime Minister decided to kill his pivotal election promise to change the voting system and Make Every Vote Count.

The SCCA is pleased to collaborate with the Coast Cultural Alliance's Artesia Coffeehouse on Oct. 23 for music and our annual raffle draw. Doors open 7 pm. show 8 pm. $10. So come early for a good seat and to mix and mingle with folks who enjoy all things arts and conservation.

The SCRD is hosting a free public screening of Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story on October 20 at 6 pm at the Ravens Cry Theatre in Sechelt. After the screening, there will be a Q & A session with Robyn Cooper of the SCRD, Aaron Joe from Salish Soils and Barb Hetherington from Gibsons Disposal to discuss food waste options for Sunshine Coast residents.
