The Dogwood Initiative and Team BC are calling for a Day of Action on Dec. 3 following the approval of the Kinder Morgan pipeline by Prime Minister Trudeau and the Federal Cabinet. They are organizing a province-wide campaign to help B.C. prepare for a citizens’ initiative on oil pipeline and tanker projects, and to build citizen power to inform federal and provincial decision-makers.
Alliance 4Democracy is organizing in Sechelt:

We are still dealing with the devastating impacts of last month’s diesel spill in Bella Bella, which proved that the only effective oil spill response plan for B.C.’s treacherous coast is to prevent spills from happening in the first place.
