Sometime during the 15 years of supporting activities to save Gospel Rock,  Loretta Macklam decided that Gospel Rock needed a song. In 2007 she asked Lowry Olafson to help with the songwriting, and the result is their co-written song "Forever Lost". The music video was completed this week, featuring the kids from Choralations Children's Choir, directed by Janice Brunson. Directed by local filmmaker Ben Ged Low, this gem is guaranteed to move you.

Many locals collaborated with Loretta in the long journey of this song, including the musicians and help with the orchestration. Choralations Children's Choir has performed the song at St. Aidan's in Sechelt and the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons.

Loretta hopes that the video will spread the song, and the will to continue to work for conservation of Gospel Rock. She admits that many who have worked hard in the past to save Gospel Rock are tired, burned out. "In my view, we would love to see it all saved, if possible. There are so many people who care about it. There must be a way to fundraise.... and then at least we know we've tried."
