The Gospel Rock Society is gearing up for the public hearing that willl take place this fall to consider the Gospel Rock Neighborhood Area Plan. The group is planning several events to make their voice heard.
The first event will be a sign painting session on July 10. Activist, artist, and master sign painter Dean Schutz will be on hand to help paint signs on Tuesday, July 10, from 6-9 pm at Celebration House at 924 Gower Point Rd (across the street from Secret Beach). Participants willl be encouraged to paint their own signs to use in upcoming public events or to post as a lawn sign.
 
GRS plans to be in the Sea Cavalcade Parade and also the Higgledly Piggledly Parade. On Friday, July 27th, between 1 and 7 pm they will be assembling the Friends of Gospel Rock Sea Cavalcade float which will be entered into the parade the following day. The theme is Enchanted Memories by the Sea. Everyone is invited to participate in the decorating. All materials will be supplied and there will be local artists on hand to help. 
 
The Gospel Rock Society hopes to bring their message to Gibsons Town Council during these events leading up to the public hearing.
