Thank you also to The Good Life, Country Haven Farm, Faye Farms, Dragonfly Farm and Jeans Organics for donating to the kitchen!

We finished the event with a great stone soup potluck. Thanks for all of the contributions, and special thanks to Edna Deerunner, Mark Trevis and Jill Shatford for leading our blessing and extra thanks to Audrey from the ?alish gardens for talking to us about the gardens and Robin Chauhan and Jill Shattford for your great music!

Super appreciation to all of our hardworking volunteers!  This could not be done without you!  We are so grateful for your ongoing support and contribution to One Straw!

As a note, there were some questions about the increased admissions at the door. We made this decision to try to raise more funds for our One Straw Programming.  In future, we will do a sliding scale donation for entry to these annual events.

Reclaimed Water Workshop
Tues Oct 27
Sechelt Water Resource Center.
There is a tour at 5 pm followed by the workshop at 6 pm.

It is hoped that many famers will attend and speak up about the need to be innovative and progressive about how we use our water. The water is treated to the highest standards in Canada and with a small biochar process it could be clean enough to use for agriculture.
