Seedy Saturday is an annual Canadian wide event. This year it is held on March 2 from 11 to 3 pm at the Roberts Creek hall. For the One Straw Society, it is an important fundraiser but especially important is the opportunity to come together to share information.

It is a great place to swap seeds, shop farmer booths, buy plants and seedlings, find treasures at the silent auction and gather information in time for the gardening season.r
To continue to make it the successful event that it has been, we need to come together as a community to attend, volunteer, and let people know about it.

The Sunshine Coast Seed Collective is also offering two workshops focused on seed saving and seed sovereignty.

Beginner Class  9 - !0:30AM
Advanced Class (The Squash Project) 4 - 5:30PM

If you would like to bring your open-pollinated seeds, make sure to clearly mark the bag or container. Everyone is welcome to participate in the seed exchange, regardless if you have seeds to share or not. Also bring your appetite for delicious soups, wraps, cake, coffee, cider and more.
