Fruit Tree Project Volunteer Orientation

The fruit tree project is a fruit gleaning project taking place across the coast!  Are you interested in learning about fruit harvesting and healthy tree maintenance while helping the community and gaining tons of free fruit!?  Join us! We will be hosting a volunteer orientation and would love to meet you!

Free permaculture learning day with Delvin Solkinson and Kym Chi. Join a group of conscious learners to experience a unique and creative introduction to the permaculture post-paradigm.Together we will talkabout the eithos, principles, toolkit and metastrudture of permaculture; tour gardens; meet some food-medicine plants of the Coastal First Peoples; share a potluck meal; watch some permaculture movies and have an inspiring day learning and growing with nature.

One Straw 20th anniversary celebration, AGM and potluck
Saturday June 6th,   Davis Bay Hall

Join us for an afternoon and evening of fun as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and honour the life of our founder Robin Wheeler.

This event will also act as our AGM and we will share exciting updates of the year to come, and vote in new members to our board of directors.  Whether you are new to the society or a long time member, your voice is important to us, so please attend.  

We also have confirmed Brothers in Farms will be playing for a family friendly dance to take place after the AGM and potluck.
