Hi all, Thanks to those of you who came out to our One Straw AGM on the weekend ... we had great participation! We aim to have the minutes up on the website by this weekend for those of you who were unable to attend: AGM 2012.
Remember our Farm Gate Market is this Thursday, as always at the Roberts Creek Hall from 3 - 6 pm. This week featuring: Promised Land Farm, Dragonfly Seeds, SunCreek Farm, and the Flour Peddler. Consider bringing home some delicious curry from Rashmi too: Curry in the Creek.

Fun with Food and Valentines!
Saturday, February 11th at the Roberts Creek Hall
9 to 11am: Wild Dock Seed Crackers with Kim Wilkinson
Learn how to harvest and process the seeds of the Western Dock plant, a local buckwheat relative that grows like a weed. We will make home-made crackers using the seeds and participants will go home with a recipe for the crackers, and a new appreciation for this wonderful "weedy" wild food plant! Class fee is $5
11:30 to 1:30pm: Delicious Liver Pate with Bernard Wera
Bernard will lead you through preparing a mouth watering Liver Pate using local meats and ingredients. He is excited to be able to share some of the health benefits of locally grown meats. We will make and sample the Pate then participants can take some home to share with their sweet Valentine. Class fee is $10
2 to 4pm: Valentines Day Cake Pops with Margaret Robinson
Learn to create this most trendy of treats, the delicious Cake Pop. Margaret will lead you through preparing different shapes and sizes to tempt your taste buds. You will also be able to take a few home to share with that special someone come Valentine's Day. Class fee is $10
