Edible Garden Tour, Sunday Sept. 2

The 3rd annual Edible Garden Tour is this Sunday, September 2. You can visit local gardens and small farms to learn what is growing in our community. The Gibsons tour is from 9 am to 12 pm and the Roberts Creek to Halfmoon Bay tour is from 1 to 4 pm.

Virus Trackers

 This summer I have been traveling throughout BC with a small dedicated group sampling salmon and other fish to map out where the European farm salmon viruses are showing up. First Nation, sport and commercial fishermen have been extremely patient, allowing us to measure, weigh, photograph and sample their fish as they work to preserve their catches.

5th Annual Sunshine Coast BioBlitz on August 11 & 12

The 5th Annual Sunshine Coast BioBlitz is nearly here and everyone is invited to participate!  The fun will start on Saturday, August 11th and will continue until the final count in the afternoon of Sunday, August 12th.  Part contest, part festival, part educational event and part scientific enterprise, a BioBlitz is a 24-hour survey of all life at various field locations throughout the Sunshine Coast including the Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve.

Green Film Series Rolls out the Green Carpet for Gospel Rock Film Premiere
